The State of Georgia has announced that Acworth has been approved for a program that incentivizes new businesses to locate into the City's designated redevelopment area. This program is also available to existing businesses that are already located in the redevelopment area when they add new jobs. Businesses are eligible to receive a $3,500 employee tax credit from the State when 2 or more jobs are created.
The City of Acworth's opportunity zone includes portions of Main Street, North Main Street, and Cherokee Street. The opportunity map boundary is available below for reviewing and downloading.
