Aldermen Recognize Individuals at the April 5th Meeting

Mayor Tommy Allegood acknowledged Calvin Johnson and another member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans who were present for the annual reading of the proclamation in recognition of Confederate History Month, April 2012.  Mr. Johnson advised that 2012 marked the 150^th anniversary of the war between the north and the south, as well as the Great Locomotive Chase.

Mayor Tommy Allegood recognized Chief Michael Wilkie who acknowledged members of the Acworth Police department, Major Wayne Dennard, Sergeant Eddie Hutson, Captain Mark Cheatham and Lieutenant Tony Bailey who were present recognize and honor Acworth resident Lorenzo Daniel for his life saving actions that resulted in saving his neighbor from a diabetic coma while sitting unconscious in her vehicle on March 15, 2012. 

Chief Wilkie acknowledged Sergeant Hutson and Officer Vangerberg for their efforts in catching the suspects responsible for shooting out several vehicle windows with BB guns, which in approximately $8,000 in damage.
