Horizon Kickball League |
Registration for the Acworth Parks and Recreation Departments Horizon Kickball League has begun! It is free to register and donations are always appreciated! The first game will kick off on July 14 and the season will end on August 22. The league is open to both children and adults, ages 5-21, with developmental or physical disabilities. Summer Sport Camp Series |
Summer Sport Camp Series is back!! Camps include: Girls Softball Camp for ages 6-13, two Baseball Camps for ages 6-13, Little Kids Football Camp for ages 4-7, Big Kids Football Camp for ages 8-14, a one-day Little Kids Cheerleading Camp for ages 5&6 and a Big Kids Cheerleading Camp for ages 7-12. Also returning, our Speed and Agility Camp for ages 7-16. Late Summer Season |
Registration is now open for the Acworth Parks and Recreation Department Summer Flag Football League. Our spring season was a huge success filled with many highlights, weekly awards, stats, and the crowning of the first "Super Joe Bowl I" Champions. Now we are ready to get the ball rolling on our next season! Registration will close August 7 and the season will begin August 18. All games will be played at Logan Farm Park on Tuesday, Thursdays, and possibly an additional day depending on how many teams we have register. Click Here for online team registration! City of Acworth along with Georgia Multisport Productions will be hosting the PT Solutions Acworth Women's Sprint Triathlon on Sunday, August 9, 2009. Ovarian Cycle, Inc. is the Official Charity for the event and it is sanctioned by USAT, the national governing body for the sport of Triathlon. The PT Solutions Acworth Women's Triathlon will be held at Dallas Landing and will begin at 7:30 am. Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks |
Each year the Acworth Parks and Recreation Department and the Acworth Business Association partner to host the Summer Concert Series at Cauble Park. The first band, Grand Slam, will take the stage at 4:00 p.m., followed by Cry in the Sun at 6:00 p.m. The headlining band, Flashback, will perform at 8:00 p.m. The firework show will begin at dark, between 9:00 and 9:30. Admission to the concerts and fireworks is free to the general public. Shuttles stops are available in the dowtown area to take you down to the park.
