Acworth Cares

Acworth Cares was created as a resource for a caring community. The City of Acworth
has provided a quick and easy way for individuals to access all available volunteer
opportunities in the Acworth, Kennesaw, and Metro Atlanta area. The possibilities are
endless and there is something for everyone! From pet lovers to physical laborers, if
you have the time, then we have the perfect place for you!

~Forgotten Paws Animal Shelter: To reduce the number of pets killed in Georgia shelters through
re-homing and out spay/neuter program.

~Mostly Mutts: Work closely with animal control officers and other rescue organizations to reduce
the number of animals euthanized at local shelters.

~Tackle Hunger: JOY Foundation feeds over 450 families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday.

~Papa's Pantry: A whole-istic program designed to work with families at their immediate point of

~Great Lake Allatoona Cleanup: Firstly, to serve as a hands-on educational experience for the
public awareness of harmful effects that litter and waste can have on their natural resources.
Secondly, to clean the shoreline of tons of trash and debris, protecting the environment and its
