Classic Car Cruises are held on the fifth Saturday of months that have a fifth
Saturday during the Spring, Fall and Summer months. Main Street in downtown
Acworth is lined with classic cars from days gone by and some of today's best
looking cars. Check out the current year's calendar of events to see what months
will have a Classic Car Show. The shows begin at 4:00 p.m. and end at 10:00
p.m. No entry fee is required, but a $2 donation to a local charity is requested to
enter the cruise. There is no charge for the general public to attend the event. For

Dad's and their daughters between the ages of five and twelve enjoy a special
night of dancing and fun. Every year there is a different theme. This years theme
was Masquerade Ball and was held on Saturday, January 29 at the
Chattahoochee Tech North Metro Campus. For more information about next

The Acworth Tree Commission and the Acworth Parks and Recreation
Department sponsor an Arbor Day Poster Contest at McCall Primary and
Acworth Intermediate each year. The children design posters according to the
specific year's theme. The winners of the poster contest are recognized at the
first council meeting in February. First, Second, and Third Place awards are given

The Hunt is open to children under the age of twelve. Children are divided into five
age groups to hunt more than 20,000 eggs that are hidden! The Easter Egg Hunt
is held two Saturday's before Easter Sunday each year and is held at The
Acworth Sports Complex. No registration is necessary, the event is free, just

The Ceremony to honor those who have given their lives in service to our country
is held on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend at 10:00 a.m. at Veterans
Memorial at Patriots Point. Veterans and current servicemen will pay tribute to
brave men and women who have fought and died for our nation. Engraved pavers
dedicated to those who have served in our armed forces have been purchased
since the previous Veterans Day and are presented at the event. For more

Come out to Logan Farm Park for a spooky good time. The event is held the
Saturday before Halloween each year. For a minimal charge each child can
participate in many different games and activities where they can win candy and
prizes. There is also a costume contest that is broken up into different age
groups. Parking is limited. Shuttles run from Roberts School and the corner of
Cherokee Street and Northside Drive. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. and ends at

Each year the Acworth Parks and Recreation Department and the Acworth
Business Association
partner to host the Summer Concert Series at Cauble
Park
. The series consists of two concerts a year. The first concert is held in
June and on July 4 of each year. Admission to the concerts are free to the
general public. Shuttles are available in the dowtown area to take you down
to the park. Tables for six can be purchased.

Bring the family to see Santa arrive in Downtown Acworth and kick off the
Christmas season. The event is held the first Friday of December. Enjoy pictures
with Santa, lighting of the downtown Christmas tree, live music, a reading of The
Night Before Christmas by the Mayor and much more! The downtown mechants
stay open late for all of your holiday shopping needs. For more information

Volunteers come out each year in late September and help remove litter and
debris from the shores of the lake. The event is sponsored by the Acworth Parks
and Recreation Department, the Acworth Lake Authority, and the Lake Allatoona
Preservation Authority. This is a great project for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts,
community groups and anyone who wants to help keep Lake Acworth clean. This
is part of the Great Lake Allatoona clean up. For more information contact Peter

The Acworth Parks and Recreation Department, the Acworth Convention and
Visitors Bureau
and Georgia Multi-Sports hosts a women's triathlon at Dallas
Landing Park.
The event is generally held on a Sunday morning in early August.

The Acworth Opry
The Acworth Opry, at Logan Farm Park near downtown Acworth meets the
second Saturday of each month starting in May and ending in October. The
concerts are free for the general public. Food and drink will be available on
site for your convenience. Bring your family, friends and chairs or blanket and
enjoy great groups, great food, great folks and lots of fun. The Blue Grass
show starts at 5:30 p.m. and goes to around 8:30 p.m.

Acworth Turkey Chase 5K Fun Run & 2K Walk
The City of Acworth Parks and Recreation Department holds the annual
Acworth Turkey Chase 5K Fun Run and 2K Walk each year on the Saturday
before Thanksgiving. Enjoy an exhilarating 5K run though Historic Downtown
Acworth and along the shores of beautiful Lake Acworth. Walk, jog or run,
participants of all ages and abilities are welcome. The run benefits the Tackle
Hunger Food Drive which helps feed hundreds of local families each holiday
