The City of Acworth, the Acworth Lake Authority, and a committee of local veterans completed the fundrasing and
the construction of the Veterans Memorial at Patriots Point in November of 2006. The Memorial was officially
opened on November 11, 2006. The Memorial is located at Cauble Park on Lake Acworth and has been
constructed and dedicated as a tribute to all men and women who have served in America's military forces. This
picturesque setting is the backdrop for one of the most original memorial designs of its kind.

The service flags of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard surround the American Flag. The
concrete dome structure is surrounded by a paver walkway. Engraved pavers can be purchased. 4" x 8" paver that
includes up to 3 lines with 18 spaces for $75.00 or an 8" x 8" paver which includes 4 lines with 18 spaces for
$125.00. Engraved pavers can be purchased for any person who has served America's Military. Pavers can be
ordered online by clicking here.

There are two ceremonies a year held at the memorial, the annual Memorial Day Ceremony and the
Veterans Day Ceremony. The pavers are great for a Mother's Day or Father's Day gift, birthday present, holiday
gift, or any occasion that you wish to tell someone that you appreciate their service and sacrifice for our country.

Order forms can be picked up at the Acworth Parks and Recreation Department Office, Acworth City Hall, or
downloaded by clicking here. Please contact Jeff Chase at jchase@acworth.org or call 770-917-1234 for any
additional information.
