Camp Acworth began in 1999. The summer program is based out of the Acworth Beach House. The camp has eight, one week sessions. The camp accommodates 110 children per week between the ages of six and eleven. Children enjoy activities such as arts and crafts, hiking, canoeing, team sports, swimming, and much more. Each Friday the children go on a field trip. A special feature of the camp is the Aqua Jump. The Aqua Jump is a trampoline with a slide that floats in the water. Normal Camp Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Extended camp hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The rate for extended care is $15 per week. This camp is geared towards early teens between the ages of twelve to fourteen. The summer program is based out of the Acworth Beach House. This camp has eight, one week sessions. A special feature of the camp is a community service project. The campers are responsible for developing a project over the eight weeks of camp and following through with it. Normal Camp Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Extended camp hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The rate for extended care is $15 per week.One session of camp is $75.00 for city residents and $85.00 for non-residents.
