Camp Acworth
camp_shield_2011_copyCamp Acworth is a summer day camp for children ages 6 - 14 (Children attending 1st - 8th grade in upcoming school year).  Camp consists of eight, one week sessions beginning on Tuesday, May 29 and concluding on Friday, July 27 (there is no camp the week of July 4).  Normal camp hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and extended hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

Camp Acworth drop off/pick up at the Acworth Beach House and camp activities will take place outside in Cauble Park.  Campers will enjoy various outdoor activities including swimming, canoeing, hiking, archery, as well as arts and crafts and other team sport activities.  Each week campers go on a field trip to exciting places like Stars and Strikes, Medieval Times, and the World of Coke.  Weekly guests will visit Camp Acworth and teach kids about a variety of subjects, ranging from public safety to performing arts.

 Preschool Sports Camp
Preschool Sports (800x497)This is a non-competitive program to help three and four year olds develop basic skills for sports programs in the future. The program gives children a chance to explore a variety of different sports all in one program such as soccer, t-ball, and basketball. 

Camp is every Tuesday and Thursday for 4 weeks beginning Tuesday, April 10. Camp will begin at 9:00 AM and will conclude at 9:45 AM. The cost is $50 for City of Acworth residents and $65 for non-residents. Every camper will receive a camp t-shirt!

Acworth Warriors Football & Cheerleading
Football Helmet

The Acworth Football and Cheerleading Association provides competitive and instructional football and cheerleading opportunities for children between the ages of five and twelve. Teams are grouped according to age and weight. Football players are placed on teams with other children of similar skill and experience.  

Practice begins the last week in July and ends in early to middle November. Once the season starts practice will be held three nights a week with a game on Saturday.

Horizon League - Spring Baseball
HorizonLeagueLogoSpring Baseball registration is now underway!  The Horizon League provides children and young adults with developmental and physical disabilities the opportunity to participate in athletic events, develop lasting relationships among their peers, coaches and parents and demonstrate to them that they are an important part of their community by creating an environment of inclusion for both the participants and their families.  

All games will be played on the Horizon Field at the Acworth Sports Complex.  This league is open to people ages 5 and older.  The last day to register without the late fee is March 20 and registrations after this time will not be guaranteed their requested team or jersey size.
