Adult Flag Football 
Adult Flag FootballMark your Calendars!  The Acworth Adult Flag Football League is a joyful experience for those football fans that still love to play the game. Game play is 7 on 7 and teams may have a roster of up to 17 players. All games are played at the football fields at the Acworth Sports Complex with no cost to spectators.  Records, statistics, player(s) of the week, write-ups and box scores are posted online after each game, and the AAFFL Cotton Bowl will end post season play. 

Both men and women are welcome!  Register your team now and start building your team dynasty!  If you do not have a team, come out and participate in our Free Agent Sign-Up Day on Monday, February 26 at 6:30 p.m. located at the Acworth Sports Complex- football fields. 

All games are played on Tuesdays, beginning on Tuesday, March 13.  In case of possible rainouts, make up games will be played on Thursdays.

All teams registered prior to February 1, 2018 will be entered into a drawing to receive $150 towards custom uniforms for their team!

Acworth Baseball Association - Spring 2018
Acworth_Baseball_LogoAcworth Baseball registration for the spring 2018 season is now underway!

The association provides a safe, challenging and most of all, fun instructional and competitive baseball experience for boys and girls, ages 4 to 19. The goal is to instill in the children of this community the ideas of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty and a sense of teamwork so that they may become strong, healthy, well adjusted members of the community.

Hummingbird Soccer
JumpStartLogoWe are excited to partner with Jump Start Sports to bring you the spring session of Hummingbird Soccer!  Children ages 3 - 6 will have fun and learn the basics of soccer in an age-appropriate program.  Players learn dribbling, passing, trapping, shooting, defending, and positioning.  Each session consists of instruction in all aspects of the game, participation in fun drills designed to teach skills and fun, low-key, non-competitive games.  Children should wear shin guards for the program.  Cleats are optional and soccer balls are provided.  All children will receive a t-shirt and medal. 

The spring session will be held on Thursday's, January 18 - March 1 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on the lower field at Logan Farm Park.  Cost is $80 for city residents and $90 for non-residents.  Those that participated in the fall preview season will receive a 20% discount.

Acworth Introductory Lacrosse
Jump Start LacrosseBoys and girls grades 1-5 can learn to play one of the fastest growing sports in the United States!  Lacrosse is action packed and lots of fun!  All equipment will be provided in this highly instructional and recreational introductory lacrosse program.  Experienced coaches from Jump Start Sports will teach children the fundamentals of the game, including passing and catching, fielding ground balls, cradling, spacing and positioning, and defense.  Children will then be divided by gender and age to play fun game situational scrimmages.  Plastic sticks and soft balls will be provided.  No body checking or stick checking will be permitted!  No helmets or shoulder pads will be used.

The session will be held Thursday's, March 15 - April 26 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the lower field at Logan Farm Park.  Cost is $80 for city residents and $90 for non-residents.

Horizon League - Spring Baseball
HorizonLeagueLogoSpring Baseball registration is now underway!  The Horizon League provides children and young adults with developmental and physical disabilities the opportunity to participate in athletic events, develop lasting relationships among their peers, coaches and parents and demonstrate to them that they are an important part of their community by creating an environment of inclusion for both the participants and their families.  

All games will be played on the Horizon Field at the Acworth Sports Complex.  This league is open to people ages 5 and older.  The last day to register without the late fee is March 20 and registrations after this time will not be guaranteed their requested team or jersey size.

Horizon Yoga 

The Acworth Parks and Recreation Department is offering Yoga Classes for individuals with special needs, ages 13 and older.  All levels of ability are welcome.  The class focuses on teaching modified yoga postures and breathing techniques. 

Classes will be held at the Acworth Beach House on Wednesday afternoons from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., February 7 - March 7.  The fee for this program is $8.00.
