Office of Community Affairs
Jeff Rose has been a member of the Acworth Police Dept since 2008. He is a 20 year Law Enforcement veteran having spent 16 years in South Florida before coming to Georgia in 2005.
Officer Rose has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Palm Beach Atlantic College. He is a P.O.S.T. certified Instructor in Defensive Tactics, Emergency Vehicle Operations as well as a General Instructor. Officer Rose is a DDS certified driving instructor and is also a P.R.I.D.E. Instructor. Officer Rose has served as a D.A.R.E. officer, Community Police/Bicycle Officer and has been a part of both DUI and Gang Task Force units in South Florida.
The Office Of Community Affairs insures that the Acworth Police Department is active in the community through its many outreach programs. It is the desire of the city administration and the chief of police to have open communications and strong relationships with residents, business owners and educators in Acworth. While each employee of the Acworth Police Department is mandated to maintain and build strong public relations, the Office of Community Affairs accepts the responsibility of providing the catalyst.
A personal caring approach has proven to be the best philosophy for promoting partnerships within the community.
When implementing outreach programming much consideration to the programs overall value to the community including its contribution to quality of life is regarded.
