Serving as second in command, Major Wayne Dennard oversees the day to day operation of the department. The Major exercise authority over all components of the Department and confers regularly with Chief on administrative maters. Residing in the North Cobb area for over 40 years, Major Dennard is active in the community. He is an Alumnus of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Honorary Commanders Association and has served on the Acworth Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. Major Dennard is a graduate of the Professional Management Program through the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbus State University.
