Power Department
The Acworth Power System provides electric services to residential and commercial customers throughout the city and into portions of Cobb and Bartow Counties. The system maintains 100 miles of line.
Acworth receives its power from the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia (MEAG Power). Acworth Power can provide ample power at a competitive rate to customers choosing to partner with us as their electric supplier.
The City power system has operated its distribution system since 1906 and serves approximately 6,000 customers. The system continues to grow at an astonishing rate.
