Chief Wayne Dennard assumed the office of Chief of Police on April 19, 2012. The Chief has resided in the North Cobb area for over 40 years and is active in the community. He is an Alumnus of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Honorary Commanders Association and served on the Acworth Area Convention and Visitors Bureau from 1998 - 2000. The Chief is a graduate of the Professional Management Program through the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College and is a session 247 graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy. Chief Dennard holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Thomas University and a Masters of Public Administration from Columbus State University.
