Special Olympics Polar Plunge
The Special Olympics Polar Plunge, hosted by the Law Enforcement Torch Run For Georgia, will take place at Acworth Beach at Cauble Park on February 20, 2021.
The purpose behind the Polar Plunge is to support and spread awareness for the 27,115 Special Olympics Georgia athletes. The Polar Plunge is the largest fundraising effort benefiting Special Olympics. Many states across the nation participate in this annual event through the efforts of their Law Enforcement Torch Run program. The Polar Plunge is an official Law Enforcement Torch Run event.
Anyone with a little guts and a warm heart wanting to support the athletes of Special Olympics Georgia is welcome to participate! Participants collect pledges from friends and family in exchange for the opportunity to jump into icy waters in the middle of winter. All proceeds collected by “plungers” will benefit the athletes of Special Olympics Georgia. Prizes will be awarded in several categories, including best costume, highest individual fundraiser, highest team fundraiser, and many more.

Daddy Daughter Date Night
Join us for Daddy Daughter Date Night at Tanyard Creek Overlook on Saturday, March 13 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
This event is open to all girls up to 13 years of age with their dad or adult male chaperone. This year enjoy an elegant dinner with some Hollywood Glamour!
The cost is $40 per couple for City of Acworth residents and $50 for non-residents.

Acworth Egg Hunt
Each year, the City of Acworth hosts an egg hunt like you've never seen before!
Each year the hunt consists of 50,000 eggs and you won’t want to miss out on the Easter Bunny's amazing arrival!
The Acworth Egg Hunt is broken down into five age groups and the start times will alternate between fields. Below you will find the schedule breakdown for the event:
- 6:30 p.m. – Gates open and concessions are available
- 7:15 p.m. – Easter Bunny Arrives
- 7:30 p.m. – 0-2 year olds (Field #1)
- 7:40 p.m. – 3-4 year olds (Field #2)
- 7:50 p.m. – 5-6 year olds (Field #3)
- 8:00 p.m. – 7-8 year olds (Field #4)
- 8:10 p.m. – 9-10 year olds (Field #1)

Acworth Art Fest
The historic district on Main Street in downtown Acworth provides a delightful backdrop for 100 whimsical and talented artisans from around the country. Their creative booth displays decorate our charming streets with paintings, pottery, metalwork, folk art, glass, jewelry, yard art and much more!
At the Acworth Art Fest, the always energetic Kidz Zone is filled with fun activities that make smiles bloom. This vibrant play land is the exhilarating place to be for young people and their happy parents. Of course, there is wonderful food from Acworth’s own eateries, and shoppers will also find delectable treats in the food court to satisfy their taste buds.
The City’s art scene is growing, downtown shops and galleries are hopping, and the Acworth Art Fest is the sweet cherry on top of our delicious and enchanting community!

Acworth Dragon Boat Festival
Dragon Boat Atlanta and Loving Arms are teaming up to bring you the Acworth Dragon Boat Festival! This event will be held at Dallas Landing Park. Dragon Boating is an up and coming sport, soon to be an Olympic sport. Many communities hold dragon boat races as a different means to benefit charitable organizations within the community.
These festivals are fun filled days for all ages featuring corporate and community teams racing in 46-foot long ornamental dragon boats. Race day combines various cultural activities with food and fun for spectators and participants. People love the thrill, the teamwork, the adrenaline, and positive interaction in the boat. People who never thought of themselves as athletes can thrive in a dragon boat and discover a challenging alternative to other sports, which is why this is currently the fastest growing water sport!

Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival
The North Cobb Rotary Club, City of Acworth, and the Georgia Barbecue Association partner each year to bring you the Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival presented by Superior Plumbing. This event will be held at Cauble Park. All proceeds from this event are distributed amongst several local charities, so everyone come out and help make a difference in your community!
This two day event features a Friday night concert under the stars and a BBQ competition on Saturday! Teams from all over the Southeast compete in professional and amateur divisions to see who will take home the title. For a small fee, you can taste your way through some of the best BBQ in the Southeast!
Parking will not be available at the park so please park downtown.

Memorial Day Ceremony
A ceremony to honor those who have given their lives in service to our country will be held on a Saturday of May 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Cauble Park at Patriots Point. Veterans and current servicemen will pay tribute to brave men and women who have fought and died for our nation. Engraved pavers dedicated to those who have served in our armed forces that have been purchased since the previous Veterans Day will be presented at the event.

July 4th Concert and Fireworks
Let freedom Ring! The City of Acworth and the Acworth Business Association are proud to present one of the largest fireworks extravaganzas in Metro Atlanta.
Each year on July 4th, live music and fireworks take place at Cauble Park. Live music will start at 5:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. (subject to change depending on weather).
Admission to the event and concert is free! Tables are available to purchase for the July 4 concert. Tables are $50 each for City of Acworth residents and $70 for non-residents. With the table you get 6 chairs and one parking pass. This parking pass will allow you to park at Cauble Park as long as spots remain available. Parking at Cauble Park is by pass only on July 4 but you are not guaranteed a parking spot at Cauble Park with this pass, so please plan on arriving early. Anyone who parks at Cauble will not be permitted to leave once the fireworks have begun. We will allow cars to leave the park once the fireworks have concluded and the crowd has cleared out.
If you do not have a parking pass or if the parking is full, you will need to park downtown and walk down to the park. Shuttles will not be running for this event. Handicap parking will be available at McCall Primary School and there will be a shuttle provided for handicap attendees. Handicap shuttles begin at noon.
Pizza, Pints & Pigskins
Pizza, Pizza everywhere!! Pizzerias from all over Cobb County will converge on Logan Farm Park for food, fun and games in September of 2021. Each restaurant will serve their best pizza dish along with other yummy fare. Bring the whole family to eat, play in our huge Kid’s Zone, listen to your favorite music, grab a cold beverage from the beer garden, relax and have fun! Help us judge the best pizza, most creative, and a myriad of other pizza contests.
People’s Choice Award goes to …… come help us decide! Can you think of a better way to spend a Saturday with the family besides tasting each pizzeria’s best and deciding who will take home the trophy? There will also be a Judge’s Choice and Most Creative.
At Pizza, Pints & Pigskins, games will be televised, ice cold beer will be served in the Beer Garden, and the kid zone will be packed full of obstacle courses, bungee jumps, and more! The night will end with a concert from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tables reservations will be available for the concert.

Mother Son Camp Out

Our annual Mother-Son Camp Out takes place in September at Proctor Landing Park, located at 5260 Proctor Landing Rd Acworth, GA 30101.
Participants camp alongside the beautiful Lake Allatoona while learning about nature and a participating in a variety of outdoor activities! This event is the perfect mother-son bonding experience that we look forward to every year!

Great Lake Allatoona Clean Up
Volunteers come out each year to help remove litter and debris from the shores of the lake. The next clean up will take place in October of 2021. The event is sponsored by the Acworth Parks and Recreation Department, the Acworth Lake Authority, and the Lake Allatoona Preservation Authority. This is a great project for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, community groups and anyone who wants to help keep Lake Acworth clean.

Halloween JamBOOree

Come out to Logan Farm Park (4405 Cherokee Street) for a spooky good time! Next year’s Halloween fun will take place on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the large field in front of the playground.

Classic Car Cruises
Classic Car Cruises are held three times a year during the Spring, Fall, and Summer months.
Main Street in downtown Acworth is lined with classic cars from days gone by and some of today's best-looking cars. The shows begin at 4:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m. No entry fee is required, but a $2 donation to a local charity is requested to enter the cruise.
There is no charge for the general public to attend the event.

Taste of Acworth
The Taste of Acworth will take place October 2021. The City of Acworth partners with the Acworth Business Association and JRM Management to host this event on Main Street in Downtown Acworth. This event benefits numerous local schools and charities in our community. Approximately 18,000 visitors taste their way through this collection of delicacies every year and it is expected to evolve tremendously! There are over 120 booths from local restaurants and businesses, plus two live entertainment stages!

Acworth Craft Beer & Wine Fest
The City of Acworth partners with Atlanta Beer Festivals each year to bring you this annual event! The Acworth Craft Beer & Wine Festival will take place on Senator Russell Avenue in November of 2021. Participants will come out and enjoy over 100 craft beers, live music, great food, wine, and TONS of fun! This event is for people 21 and older, no kids or pets will be allowed. Registration is required for this event and limited tickets are available. Registration will include event entry, a souvenir cup, all beer samples, and entertainment.

Veterans Memorial
The City of Acworth is proud to say thank you to those who have faithfully served their country, as well as those who are now serving. Acworth is honored to have these brave men and women living in our community and what better way to honor them than to host a Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11.
If you have not seen the Veterans Memorial at Patriot's Point at Cauble Park, make sure you take an opportunity to stop by. The service flags of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Cost Guard surround the American Flag. The concrete dome structure is surrounded by a paver walkway with engraved pavers. You can honor a veteran by purchasing pavers. The pavers are available in 4x4 or 8x8 sizes. With the 4x4, you get 3 lines, each with up to 18 characters engraved on the pavers. The 8x8 comes with 4 lines, each with up to 18 characters engraved on it.
