Angie Luna is the current Director of Power and Public Works and Deputy City Manager of Operations. Prior to taking her position with the City of Acworth, Ms. Luna served for three years as the Director of Operations for the Fort Valley Utility Commission and in a Project Management capacity for the City of Norcross’ Department of Public Works, Utilities & Parks. Ms. Luna received her Bachelor’s in Business Management & Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from Georgia Southwestern State University. In January 2019, Ms. Luna completed all coursework to receive her certification as a Certified Public Works Manager through the American Public Works Association.
Throughout her professional career, Ms. Luna has had the opportunity to work in diverse fields such as Construction Management, Municipal Utilities, Public Works and Economic Development. One of her greatest professional accomplishments includes leading the effort to secure the economic development project known as Pure Flavor, a Canadian company that grows greenhouse vegetables in a new high-tech, $105-million, 75-acre greenhouse complex by competing to serve a 24 MW Customer Choice power load.
Ms. Luna believes whole heartedly in the power of servant leadership and practices it daily in both her personal and professional life. She also feels that working in Municipal Government gives her the unique opportunity to serve the Community in a meaningful capacity. She has dedicated her time and efforts to multiple charitable causes such as Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, American Cancer Society, Kay Center for the Intellectually Disabled, Warriors Against DIPG and others.
As a long-time public servant, Ms. Luna believes in the importance of working with the City of Acworth’s Board of Aldermen and Staff to provide essential services to the residents, visitors and business owners of the Acworth Community. She looks forward to making a positive impact to the City of Acworth.
David Ross
Electrical Superintendent/Assistant Director of Power
dross@acworth.orgDavid Ross is the Electrical Superintendent/Assistant Director of Power. David has been working with the City as a journeyman/lineman since 2005 before his recent promotion to Superintendent. David began his career in the electrical field in 1997 as a contractor for Pike Electric and has worked his way through the Apprentice Lineman program along with many other training courses through Electric Cities of Georgia and MEAG. David is 11 years married to Tammy who is a nurse. They have one son who is following in his mom’s footsteps and is currently enrolled in nursing school. In his spare time, David enjoys spending quality time with his family in the great outdoors hunting and fishing. He also enjoys music and playing bass and acoustic guitar. Greg Rust
Public Works Division Manager

Greg graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Master’s in Public Administration and Bachelor’s in Business Management. He is an ISA certified Arborist; he recently relocated to Georgia area from South Florida with his wife and four children. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. He is able to assist with all Public Works concerns including: Sanitation, Streets and Right-of-Way maintenance, Stormwater-Soil Erosion, Fleet Maintenance, and Capital Projects.

Randy Benson
Power Operations Manager

Randy Benson is the Operations Manager for the Power Department. He has been an employee of the City since 2008. His career began in Public Works and soon transitioned to the Power Department as a utility locator before moving into his current position. Randy has obtained several certifications through the Electric Cities of Georgia including electric utility groundsman, underground utility locating, storm damage assessment and energy auditing.
Randy is a native of Cartersville, Georgia and enjoys spending time with his family and friends, oh and ALL things related to football.

Morgan Lemons
Operations Manager – Sanitation
mlemons@acworth.orgMorgan has been involved in Sanitation and Recycling since 2009. He
lives in Dallas, Ga. with his wife and three children. He enjoys going
to the beach or the theme parks in Florida. Other hobbies include any
outdoor activity especially if it includes his family.

Josh Black
Fleet Manager
jblack@acworth.orgJosh Black is the Fleet Manager for the City of Acworth and has been with the City since 2017 but has been in the mechanics business for 12 years. As a certified ASE technician, the City relies on Josh to keep the entire fleet of City vehicles in peek condition. Josh not only works on cars professionally but he also enjoys it as a hobby. He builds custom vehicles and shows them in local car shows. In his spare time, he enjoys kayaking with family and friends.

Lisa Brazenas

Lisa is the Administrative Project Coordinator for Power and Public Works. She is currently enrolled at Columbia Southern University seeking to complete a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management. On the weekends, Lisa enjoys frequenting antique shops, crafting and playing with her beagle and toy fox terrier.
