Residents of the City of Acworth, GA, who are qualified to register to vote for the election and are not currently registered, may register to vote through the close of business on Monday, October 7, 2019. Persons may register to vote online at Cobb County Board of Elections and Registration at www.cobbelections.org or pick up an application for registering at Acworth City Hall (City Clerk’s Office). If you have recently moved to the city limits of Acworth and have not notified the Cobb County Board of Elections and Registration, you must do so no later than October 7, 2019 in order to vote in the November 5, 2019 General Election.
Absentee Voting (by mail) begins Monday, October 14, 2019. Application for an absentee ballot may be obtained from the Cobb County Board of Elections and Registration website at www.cobbelections.org or the City of Acworth website www.acworth.org. Requests for absentee ballots may also be made in writing, by mail, email, or fax (770-917-0590). The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is Friday, November 1, 2019. Absentee Ballot requests should be submitted to the City of Acworth, Office of the City Clerk, 4415 Senator Russell Avenue, Acworth, GA 30101. Absentee ballots (by mail) must be received by close of polling place on election day. No absentee ballot can be voted in office the day prior to the General Election.
Advanced (Absentee In-Person) Voting will begin on Monday, October 14, 2019 through Friday, November 1, 2019 at City Hall (City Clerk's Office), 4415 Senator Russell Avenue, Acworth, Georgia, during normal business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. November 1, 2019 will be the last day for Absentee In-Person voting for the November 5, 2019 General Election. No absentee ballot can be voted in office the day prior to the General Election.
